@LydiaNigro2#edst1160u I think people can do the best they can to control an online reputation unfortunately, we cannot control what other people post about you. We can manage our own posts but not others. That is why it is important to keep your settings secure.
@MedicoSophia I have both because I want to keep my professional one just that, professional. I do not share family pictures or anything about my kids it is all about business. My personal one is more for picture sharing and fun things that are not about work #EDST1160U
@IngiBroom@Ieva59235001 Hi Ingi,
I always keep my social media profiles separate. I do this because of the nature of the profile, and who I have on my contact list. For example LinkedIn is business use so I make sure it is professional. For Facebook I limit it to friends and family so I show more
@Sierra_xo3 I was nervous at first to do this but I find that depending on what you are selling it is safe. I like to use mom to mom sell groups as well.
Hell Everyone, GM3B (late) and we are wondering if you are careful of what types of pictures you post? for example your children's first day of school #EDST1160U
#EDST1160U How can you avoid infringement of copyright?
Give credit
Use pictures that come from a public domain
You can purchase content
When using social media pages make sure to view the ownership rights.
#EDST1160U netiquette is the correct and acceptable way to communicate while on the internet. Some good examples would be: do not let a simple misunderstanding turn into a big argument, do not pass on other peoples private info. Fact check before you repost.
@RebeccaOnTech@LydiaNigro2 I agree @RebeccaOnTech that zoom can feel like face to face but I still like F2F better. I like being able to feel a connection with people and see body language. I feel you can get a better reading of the person that way.
