“You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hill will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.”
- Isaiah 55:12 CSB
A new year doesn’t magically make the previous year’s troubles go away.
But we are reminded that new beginnings are possible, and that God promises to go with us.
And if we truly want to celebrate #Christmas, let us rediscover awe before a God who becomes little, who is not born in splendour, but in the poverty of a stable. To meet Him, we must go where He is. We must lower ourselves, make ourselves little.
I don’t know how this week is going for you. Holidays are such a mixed bag. They remind you of all you have and also of all you miss. Grief you may not have felt in a year shows back up at your front door with a familiar sleeping bag. Older I get the more I appreciate the mix.
“The Building” OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO IS OUT NOW 😭🙌🏼 I still can’t believe we got to film this at the Mother Church of Country Music. I can’t wait to hear what you think. Link in my bio to watch now ♥️

“In the tender compassion of our God the dawn from on high shall break upon us, to shine on those who dwell in darkness & the shadow of death, and to guide our feet into the way of peace.“
Know today that our God is tenderly compassionate & from this tenderness he sent his son.
A Prayer for Labor Day:
O Lord, you who establish the work of our hands, may every labor that we perform—whether great or small, for our own sake or for others'—be graced by you so that our hands might be your loving hands in all that we say and do this day and evermore. Amen.
Yes!! 🔥🔥🔥
I love and admire the passion and authenticity of Beth Moore. Read this thread.
Love who Jesus loves. Care about the matters that Jesus cares about. See the world through His eyes. ❤️
Believing this to be the leadership of the Spirit & as a Part 2 of sorts to yesterday's thread about discipling people on the values of Jesus, I'd like to make a statement on why I will no longer be forced into making statements. I am unfortunately not new to this game.
Prayer for Juneteenth:
O Lord, you who set the oppressed free, increase in us a love of justice this day that we might love it as you love it: upholding the cause of the poor, speaking up for the oppressed, defending the weak & rescuing the needy, no matter what the cost. Amen.
@yourbrainbyjess See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:19
Encourage them to look for God at work. Evidence of His love. They can be a part of a “new thing”.
Jesus never meant for Prayer to be an excuse for inaction.
Prayer was always meant to form us for participation in Christ’s just & peaceable kingdom - specifically by seeking justice.
On earth, as it is in heaven.
“…whatever value there might be in telling God how sorry we are about our broken world, there can be little doubt that there’s more value in asking Him to give His people a desire to heal.”
