Shall we dig into the data a bit Willie @willnorman ? Your cherry picked graph seems to indicate a huge rise in cycling and it's almost as if you want folk to believe it's a significant modal share of transport overall but I'm sure you didn't mean to imply that 🧐
As in London, new road traffic data nationally shows cycling remains significantly up on pre-pandemic levels.
I think this change is here to stay.
We’ll continue to invest in making streets safer to sustain & accelerate this growth for a greener, cleaner, safer future for all.
@barnabasdotexe@PTrubey@SawyerMerritt@Starlink Has also transformed comms on oil rigs, ships, wind farms etc... we tested the Marine starlink on some rigs in the Gulf of Mexico upon launch.. comparing price and service to the former VSATs available - no contest!! Security/Support only concerns at that early stage of release
@kmx1974@ediz1975 "Overall Active Travel Spend:
The Department for Transport (DfT) estimates a total government spending of £3.3 billion on active travel between April 2016 and March 2021, with a projected £3.3 billion between April 2021 and March 2025."
@KatyCycles @andrewellson@peterwalker99 Sat nav theory debunked years ago, please read DfT revised data on this - the fact you're still mentioning it is worrying, you are either in an echo chamber or you are disingenuous. 90% cars reside on side roads ... That's where "they belong".
@crisisofconsc Client refused to accept that the time on emails received should be the sender's local time (who were a timezone ahead several hours) and that the mail server must be faulty... Despite receiving emails and replying in "the future"...
@TheFox89688362 Parliament is debating the review of LTNs on 20th May. MPs want your views. Please complete the government survey here. It is anonymous https://t.co/k16fmhWa9V
@gazza_d If only other Councils would recognise the harm these LTNs inflict. Time to ban discriminatory LTNs that push congestion and pollution onto other people’s children on community roads where those most vulnerable to the effects of pollution live.
Really looking forward to sitting out on an isolated part of @BowesLTN where no services support and just a relatively bleak view. Well done @JourneysPlaces on another complete farcical project that had zero residential support and cost £0.5m👏
