Santos leaving was never a surprise. Vivell signings get sold at the first opportunity, while Lavia spends more time in the treatment room than on the pitch and still stays untouchable simply because he’s Joe Shields’ guy.

This is exactly why I’ve always said that as long as Joe Shields remains at Chelsea, the club’s squad building will never be based on merit. Different rules for different people. That’s the real problem.
