Happy Pride Month 2026! 🌈🏳️⚧️
I am so mindful there are many people feeling a little scared right now because of othering and pointing fingers and a feeling of division instead of inclusivity growing.

Pride Month kicks off tomorrow!
During a debate in the House of Commons during Pride Month last year, Labour MP Sir Chris Bryant made a powerful speech about the importance of Pride Month.
He said that even the most "well-meaning liberal souls" have questioned why Pride is still necessary, and whether the LGBTQ+ community still needs more rights.
Bryant responded that "we have always needed Pride" and "we need it now".
This is what @LibDems are proposing.
It's constructive: for example the committee could hear the voices of non-binary people who struggle to be heard.
The EA and GRA do need to be updated. @UKLabour need to get on board.
Trans people deserve a world in which they can live openly, joyously, in safety and with dignity.
This #TransDayofVisibility, we celebrate trans people everywhere and reaffirm our commitment to building that world together. 🏳️⚧️
It’s devastating that Girlguiding has announced plans to exclude existing trans girl guides from September.
The Supreme Court ruling is being weaponised to bully previously inclusive organisations into abandoning members of their own community.
The government must ensure that the statutory guidance enables organisations to be inclusive and protects them from expensive anti-trans lawfare.
This Transgender Awareness Week, please give some support to It's About Bloody Time, a community-led project providing free, in-person blood testing for trans and gender-diverse people in West Oxfordshire.

To the @LGBTLabour committee, nothing is spookier than 👻𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆!👻
The unelected zombie committee can only shamble on for so long!
🎃 This Halloween, follow us and join LGBT+ Labour, to vote for change when the time comes! 🌹🏳️⚧️
Congratulations to @LucyMPowell on her election as Deputy Leader! Her commanding lead shows that members want change, and we hope No. 10 will listen
We look forward to working with her and hope she can be the voice for trans members that they've so sorely missed in recent years.
Three months ago, @LGBTLabour were meant to hold elections at their AGM. As our campaign was on track to win, the AGM was suddenly cancelled.
They still haven't addressed the cancellation publicly. As far as we know, nothing is being done to bring back the elections.
Why? 🤔🧵
ID cards are a threat to civil liberties, to our data security and risk people’s private info being handed to US tech giants for profit.
They’re also a total waste of time and money when the government should be focused on the real priority: tackling the cost of living crisis.
To transform the country and take on the populist right, Labour must hear and heed the voices of its radical realists - and build a principled, practical, popular left alternative.
Join @mainstreamlbr - together, we can bring that alternative to life.

Hi Twitter,
After careful consideration, I have now monetised my account.
All profit made will go to @MedicalAidPal and @Mermaids_Gender
With every like, RT, or comment you are taking money out of Musk's pocket, and into the hands of those who need it most.
Solidarity ✊
ID cards are a distraction - they weren't in the manifesto.
It's time for Labour to deliver for workers and turn our society around. Our general secretary @UnionSteveW on Newsnight last night.
Young trans people in the UK are being abandoned by a broken healthcare system and hounded by bigots who pretend their hate is “concern.” The damage this causes is devastating.
And let’s get one thing straight, supporting my trans child is not bad parenting, it’s the only decent response. If you think otherwise, that’s on you. TERFs and their cheerleaders are the ones failing children, spreading fear, and fuelling cruelty.
Parents who love and protect their kids are not the problem. The problem is a system that denies healthcare, and a mob that thinks attacking families is acceptable.
Trans youth deserve better. And we’ll keep fighting until they get it. 🌈✊
Our members have had their say - and Pride in Labour is not endorsing any candidate for the Labour Party deputy leadership. It's obvious that the threshold to run in internal election is leaving members with poor choices to vote for.
