After a busy day in our capital city, it's time to head home. Of course, a quick picture or three of the golden sunset helps.
Lots accomplished today. More to do tomorrow.
Have a wonderful evening.
After a slightly damp night, the clouds are clearing and a beautiful golden sunrise emerges to chase away the darkness.
A long day lies ahead with lots to do.
Have a wonderful time.
It's a very damp and grey sunrise today. With more damp weather forecast until late this afternoon, it seems waterproofs are necessary. We need more of this. A lot more. It would have been nice if it were spread out, but it's here.
Have a lovely day.
A beautiful golden sunrise to start the last day of the weekend.
With the forecast suggesting that it'll remain dry, there is a lot to do today.
Have a wonderful time.
West Midlands Police are investigating this incident. I do hope that there are enough donors to help pay for the legal costs which some might be facing.
After a dull, grey and damp day, the sunset sneaked a peak from the cloud cover in time for the sunset.
The weekend starts tomorrow and the weather forecast looks good.
Have a wonderful evening.
Today's sunrise is a very blustery and grey affair.
With light rain around at the moment, heavier stuff is on it's way for later. I know that we've had a long dry period and need this, but do remember your waterproofs as you'll need them.
Have a good day.
Trans people are living through an era that mirrors every major civil rights battle. Whenever a marginalised group fought for dignity, opponents hid behind so-called "beliefs."
When racism was challenged, they claimed (and still do) “free speech”. When homophobia was called out, they shouted about "child protection.”
Now, gender-critical ideology repeats the same tactics—targeting a minority, then demanding freedom from consequences.
The gender-critical activists claim their views are "reality," but the reality for trans people is brutal: misgendering, exclusion, denying our identities, and trying to strip away our rights.
That’s discrimination - pure and simple.
It’s as real and damaging as racism or homophobia. Wrapping bigotry in pseudoscience or moral panic doesn’t make it acceptable. Calling it a "protected belief" changes nothing.
Trans people’s dignity and safety have been under attack for years - our existence is declared "controversial." Our rights are put on trial, supposedly to balance them against someone else’s feelings that they dont feel "comfortable."
No other minority is forced to tolerate this abuse or told that targeted hostility is just someone else’s opinion. To be clear: Beliefs can be protected. Prejudice in action cannot.
A fair society does not allow anyone to weaponise their beliefs to harm others. Civil rights law already draws this line. You can hold racist or sexist beliefs, but you cannot harass or discriminate. The same principle must apply to trans people.
That’s why we must draw a hard line against gender-critical discrimination and harassment.
This isn’t about silencing conversations - it’s about stopping real harm, happening right now, to a vulnerable marginalised minority at the heart of a culture war
Trans people deserve workplaces, schools, and communities where our dignity is not up for debate – trans people are people.
However, because of the manifestation of gender-critical beliefs, they frequently cross the line into outright discrimination - often in the workplace - often on social media - exactly on platforms like this.
When translated into action, they are totally indistinguishable from racism, homophobia, or antisemitism.
The gender critics won’t like that… sometimes truth hurts.

Why have you included this paragraph in your story @bbcnews@rburgessbbc - along with the obligatory BBC misgendering ?
THEY DO NOT WANT TO BREAST FEED. THEY DON’T WANT BREASTS. THEY ARE NOT A C!S WOMAN. THIS IS NOT YOU’RE BUSINESS, THE BBC’S BUSINESS, OR TERF’S BUSINESS.
A very grey sky for today's sunrise.
Although the air is the air is damp, the forecast suggests that it'll remain cloudy and dry.
Lots to do today. Have a lovely time.
🚨 BREAKING:
Kelly: "When Trump was bankrupting the Taj Mahal casino, I was taking fire over Iraq... When Trump was writing birthday wishes to Epstein, I was among the first to arrive at the scene to recover the bodies of my fellow astronauts... When Trump was pushing conspiracy theories against President Obama, I was sitting beside my wife's hospital bed... I've been through far worse in service to my country. The president and Pete Hegseth will not silence me."
The Tory stance on climate change shows they've simply left the field when it comes to environmental credibility.
We need politicians who follow the science & understand the risks to food security.
They are scientifically ignorant, economically reckless & deeply irresponsible.
