Organisational Development Manager in the NHS... have the daily honour of partnering with teams to be exceptional in both courage and compassion #teamngh
Leadership roles are less about problems to be solved than about tensions/paradoxes/polarities to be managed. These are pairs of goals that may appear to be contradictory, but which are interdependent. An example would be the dual focus on delivering operationally in the short term AND transforming the system for the longer term. Both are needed to create positive results & achieve sustained high performance. A new report by @Deloitte sets out key polarities/paradoxes that senior leaders typically need to manage: https://t.co/ns0WJO5RgD
Wellbeing predicts job performance. Looking after our staff is not just fluff, it is vital to deliver good effective and safe care. #HappierNHS

As most people know I’m not really a ‘dog person’ but today I witnessed 1 of the most magical things. I went with Sam & his owner to visit a patient who was desperately missing their own dog. You could tell in an instant how Sam had lifted their mood ❤️ #petsastherapy
Each day I am privileged to work with people filled with compassion and a desire to make a difference. Thank you to all our incredible nurses for giving tirelessly and with commitment. ❤️💙❤️ #NursesDay@massey235@NghCare@emlambert8@SDM_NGH@NGHnhstrust
Bringing the best of who I am in everything I do is always my desire. Investing in my family, and enabling my ceiling to be their platform, raising them to be people of both character and gifting, underpins it all. Today was a celebration of that for my eldest. #graduation2022

If we want to make change happen in the world, we have to connect with others at the level of emotions through values. That's why listening & understanding values are key to change. Values are deeply personal. Some superb "values" graphics by @voinonen: https://t.co/GcMR9fig0A
So, here is my plea to NHS staff to have their vaccinations. I personally disagree with the government mandating vaccines for NHS staff but I also support vaccinations and have had both plus my booster. @UNISONOurNHS @StuartTuckwood

No.3 in my #AYearofTweets2021 countdown was posted in December. It was this insightful graphic from @EmmaNeuropsych. So many people related to it. Just the sheer volume of responses tells so many of us that we are not alone in feeling super-tired right now.
@TravelodgeUK I need to raise an issue with your complaints team following a very anxious and disappointing stay at your hotel in Chelmsford. How do I go about doing this?
