Viva la 50s! 😍
Berberine is one of my favorite supplements because of it's many health-supportive effects. It positively effects the immune system, metabolism, heart and gut health, as well as having antioxidant, antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory powers.
New study from the NIH finds adults who stay well-hydrated develop fewer chronic conditions, such as heart disease, live longer overall than those who don't drink enough fluids.
Adults who aren't sufficiently hydrated may age faster, could face a higher risk of chronic disease.
If you look for a reason to hate a person, eventually you'll find it. If you look for a reason to celebrate a person, eventually you'll find it.
The former leads to resentment and destructive cynicism. The latter leads to happiness and growth for you and for those you celebrate.
I’m not against using drugs or psychotherapy, but I think there is much more that we can do to boost mood -- including anxiety and depression -- by focusing on the foods we eat. When you fix your body, you fix your broken brain.
There was a FDA ruling that NMN is now a drug. There has not (yet) been a call to remove it from supplement sales. There has been a flood of orders. No one knows if/when sales will be halted. My suggestion: learn about NMN vs NR & stand by for more.
Metabolic health is much more than just maintaining a healthy weight. It’s the sum of our cardiovascular, mitochondrial, liver, gut, and hormone function—and a poor diet impacts all of these systems for the worse.
Even with all the knowledge and tools to become healthier, happier individuals, it is often our mindset and daily practices that will be the strongest guiding force to carry us through our health journey.
It's so important to take these little breaks after sitting! I use a timer, as a reminder during work times! Vary ur activity with jumping jacks, walks, stretching, & if possible take these breaks in nature!
Research suggests that if you sit for longer than an hour at a time, you run the risk of heart disease, poor circulation and joint pain. However, studies show that you can reverse much of the potential damage by taking a five-minute walking break every hour or so.
The short summary of intermittent fasting:
Typically you stop eating at a certain time in the evening and start eating approx 12 - 18 hrs later.
Where I recommend people to start is to end your dinner at 7 PM and start eating again at 7 AM.
Even 12 hours makes a big difference!
I’m sorry but it’s mind-boggling to me “nutrition experts” say that tells you that lectins are bad, keto is good, fruit bad, but meat only diets are good 🤯
Seriously, no wonder everyone is confused.
I know cold showers are all the rage but I love hot showers. More like scalding hot showers- I might as well be a rotisserie chicken cooking in there 🤪
Several studies have indicated that when you are not eating, the microbes in your gut get time off to work on repairing the gastrointestinal tract, potentially offering protection from ‘leaky gut’ and, ultimately, the kind of systemic inflammation that can trigger chronic disease
Gut Bacteria influence brain development in childhood, dementia risk in older age and mood throughout life.
To improve our brain- we must improve our gut health.
Wow!
Someone just sent me a message both asking for help and offering to help.
He ended, "PS - I believe you're going to change the world! I've never said that to anyone."
I'm going to need help.
Let's change the world!

After age 40, maintaining muscle can be an uphill battle, as we tend to lose about 1% of muscle mass with each passing year. To combat the losses, at least twice a week, add strength training into your fitness mix, be it with weights or any activity that offers resistance.
Many scientists are now calling Alzheimer’s the ‘diabetes of the brain’ or ‘diabetes 3’ – making avoidance of all that sugar and excessive carbs endemic to the Standard American Diet (SAD) absolutely essential – that is, if maintaining a healthy brain is your goal.
We offer our deepest condolences to the @RoyalFamily on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Canadians across the country will mourn the loss of The Queen. Let us take a moment to honour Her Majesty’s memory in each of our own ways.
