Why are migrants allowed to sue the Irish Government, yet Irish PWD are suffering at the hands of County Councils waiting 25 years to be housed?? An extract from a letter I posed to MCC this week outlining several laws broken, but will they help me? Yes/No?

I am still waiting for @meathcoco to acknowledge:
- I am 25 years waiting on social housing
- I have disabilities which mean I should be prioritised on housing lists
- I’m currently without electricity and basic necessities for 12 WEEKS!
They STILL have not replied!!

MCC remains steadfast in their refusal to reply. I sent in another letter today asking them to acknowledge that I’m waiting 25 years on housing, that I’m in this current situation 12 weeks & that I have disabilities, along with laws they’re breaking.

The Republic of Ireland with a population of approximately 5.4 million (nobody knows for sure these days) has one government-funded Non-Government Organisation for every 149 people in the country.
There are in excess of 34,000 government-funded NGOs in the country

@caulmick I am 25 years on Meath County Councils housing list. I applied in 2001. MCC are refusing to house me. I’m in a homeless hap without electricity for 12 weeks now & the Council don’t care. I have disabilities and my health is deteriorating.

The little girl (then 5, now 8) cannot sleep. She cannot talk. She blinks to communicate. She got to use her voice for all of 3 or 4 years of her life before it was stolen. She cannot articulate a single word of her trauma and therefore heal, at least psychologically. Perhaps he stalks her in her dreams. She is trapped in her own mind. No way to share her worries, memories, dreams or thoughts of any kind. Her tears must be silent too. Her laughter as well. If indeed she laughs any more. She has to be sedated at times.

If all this isn't enough for you to say "enough" then I am afraid you are both inhuman and inhumane. She is just a little child. This was done to her because of the government and because of a grown man's minor grievance. A man who never should have been here. A man who still requires an interpreter after 26 years. A man who was reported to have seemed "cheerful" and "jocular" when it was put to him that what he did was gravely serious. He has shown no remorse. The victims and family are subjected to a trial. Not that the child can ever give testimony. 40 mins deprived of oxygen to the brain will produce that effect. Will silence your voice. Potentially forever.

@GillSherratt23 wrote that at Government's "disability summit", journalists got to ask questions of the Ministers but the people with disabilities, the carers and the advocats did not get the same opportunity.
