Proud of my students and community for making this happen! Students Print Farmer a New Arm https://t.co/kSBEypMSAb

@CLEOtheCOOL @theperfectfoil We did the same thing, lol. And, you’re right, it was the best night we had in Nashville, too. Tremendous performance by both groups.

[Vic Worthington @Rochelle_STEAM]

@PrincipalHurt Congratulations and good luck in your new adventure!

[Vic Worthington @Rochelle_STEAM]

@ReneeWellsSTEAM I’d definitely check it out.

[Vic Worthington @Rochelle_STEAM]

@Zoom1Ken I was present for your session there. For what it’s worth, Coach, you sure didn’t sound irrelevant.

[Vic Worthington @Rochelle_STEAM]

@shirky17 We’re using the @greenBXmachine curric. Edtech made for schools is too often weak equip w/brochures written for admin/curric but lousy in the actual classroom. Thought I’d get real world urban ag equip and teach to that instead. Win or lose, feels more small farm authentic.

[Vic Worthington @Rochelle_STEAM]

@shirky17 Happy so far. All were easy to assemble and operate so far. The Gardyn is more high tech & expensive to operate long term — phone app, time lapse cameras, etc. — but has the biggest wow factor, too.

[Vic Worthington @Rochelle_STEAM]

@shirky17 We have a few. One older Juice Plus that we like and works well. Just used grant $ for a Gardyn Home & a Nutrabinns tower. Also have 3 Lapond PVC hydroponic grow kits. Juice Plus has been running all trimester, the others are just coming online. Went from 28 plants to abt 350.

@smailtronic Great thread. Thanks for sharing.

[Vic Worthington @Rochelle_STEAM]

@shirky17 This was obviously with parent consent, of course.

[Vic Worthington @Rochelle_STEAM]

@shirky17 We have, esp w/ kids who were either Zoom ghosts or for whom we were struggling to provide effective IEP/ELL services. Hasn’t exactly worked miracles, but most of the kids who’ve come back seem to have improved.

@ReneeWellsSTEAM @Sdeyoung1 @ImagineerSTEAM @STEAMuptheClsrm @Teacherchick27 @KlimkowskiMrs @socialstudiestx @MSSBullyingBlog Awesome!

[Vic Worthington @Rochelle_STEAM]

@CoachHicks1914 I can’t. My mom’s a home ec teacher (retired). She knows that truth already. 😁

[Vic Worthington @Rochelle_STEAM]

I’d be willing to bet it was one of the reporter’s career highlight pieces. He sounded genuinely gleeful doing the voiceover.

[Smarter Every Day @smartereveryday]

2 years ago I saw something that concerned me so much that I broke from my “curious engineer guy” videos and made an entire series on social media manipulation..
knowing I would take a hit on views

I made that series for this moment...

For right now.

@mrdearybury @minimaterials That is really cool. Thanks for sharing.

[Vic Worthington @Rochelle_STEAM]

Congrats, Aubrey. It’s pretty awesome being associated with a world record holder. Nice article as always, ⁦@RussellJHodges⁩ . https://t.co/MLBrksN9IQ

[Vic Worthington @Rochelle_STEAM]

@JWilliamsEDU @the_masked_T I just listened. Good stuff from both guest and host.

[Vic Worthington @Rochelle_STEAM]

@latif_thomas That ... might actually be the correct answer, Coach. Well done.

[Vic Worthington @Rochelle_STEAM]

@SESTrojanTech @dailystem @pitscoed It should have a VGA-style cable hookup on the back, too. If you’ve got any computers running Win97-WinME, there was an included software that did live data measurement including wood splintering sound effects. @pitscoed, do you have any old cd-roms for it in the back storeroom?

[Vic Worthington @Rochelle_STEAM]

@SESTrojanTech @dailystem @pitscoed As others said, it’s a Pitsco structures tester or, as we called it in my lab, a bridge/tower buster. Put a balsa tower inside the cylinder and thread a nut & cap piece/large washer over the top. Pump air in w/ the handle the digital scale measure break force.
