The launch of SMART Route 492, Rochester Road, is just a few short weeks away! Buses begin running between Oakland University, Downtown Rochester, Troy, Downtown Royal Oak, and Ferndale on Monday, April 22nd.

@TransitGuideDET @tedtansley Yep! This map was released before SMART decided to give the 11 Mile/Hilton leg of route 430 to route 492. 430, for now, will terminate in Royal Oak

We will be hosting a Rochester Ride-Along during the first week of service on Route 492. The entire community, especially students, faculty, and staff from Oakland University, OCC, and Rochester University, is invited.

At a @DetroitTransit event last night, SMART shared plans for the next Oakland County expansion. Service to Rochester will begin in April.

The delay is for good reason: Concrete will be poured at every stop, with work beginning as soon as next month. Be on the lookout!

SMART Bus .@smart_movesus stops are getting some concrete work done - making the stops safer & more accessible to use (if the drivers know to stop in the right place!)
