This past Friday was Superhero Day at Indian Rock Elementary School. There were a lot of neat costumes, but one of the most meaningful was worn by Ryan, a fourth-grade student. He dressed up as his hero (and one of his teachers) — Mr. Hoffman!
Shaurya Naidu, an Indian Rock Elementary School fifth-grade student, placed 🥈 in his age group during a regional PA Invention Convention! He created an automated trash scoop for rivers that will prevent waste from reaching the oceans. Good luck in the state competition, Shaurya!
Erin Morris, a former U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps officer, met with @RockElementary students to share her book titled "Who is Sam the Soldier?" She discussed many topics, including daily military life and the process to publish a book. Thank you, Mrs. Morris! #YSBOLD

Loralei Stambaugh and Allie Klinedinst — along with a @wyasdblue student — earned their @girlscouts silver awards by making sensory kits for emergency personnel! These kits will help first responders better care for those with Autism and other specialized needs. #YSBOLD
Fourth-grade students in Mr. Hoffman's class practiced teamwork by designing new outfits out of newspapers. Their creativity resulted in a prom dress, football uniform, interview suit, superhero costume, and more. This #YSBOLD work from @RockElementary is definitely inspiring!
