In RE this week, year 2/3 learned all about the story of Jesus and the lepers. They role-played the story and discussed how the lepers felt before and after Jesus helped them 🙏🤲✨
Reverend Ian suggested some people in the village who might like to receive a Harvest Pudding, so some of the children went and delivered them. We hope you enjoy!
Year 1/2 have been learning about Harvest as part of their RE lessons. Today they all worked as a team to make Harvest puddings…a bread and butter pudding with a twist! 🍎🍏
They looked and smelled delicious!
Reading and writing are key and our hall boards reflect this…each class is reading a different text and the work on display shows our reading to writing journey from Early Years to Year 6.
A first for Rockcliffe CE School this afternoon - attending a game of football at Brunton Park, CUFC v Wimbledon and we won 2-1! The 40 children and 30 adults had a great time, the sun shone and we had a VIP tour of the grounds beforehand too!
This afternoon, Miss Lee, Mrs Batey and our School Council Representatives went to St Mary’s Church in Rockcliffe to sign the Book of Condolence, on behalf of the children of Rockcliffe CE School.
Unfortunately, during the summer holidays our flag pole was vandalised. This evening it is back to its full glory, secured and blowing in the sunshine at half mast. A huge thank you to John Munro.
Rocky has had a fantastic first week at Rockcliffe CE School and he loves eating his breakfast with the children in our new breakfast club!
Cornflakes are his favourite!
Today at Rockcliffe CE School we spent time reflecting on and celebrating the extraordinary life of HRH Queen Elizabeth II. We remembered our Jubilee Celebrations, said prayers and sang God Save our Queen, for the final time.
The children did us proud 🙏🏻x
