@taco_talks However things reproducing sexually allow for a greater variance and better adaption to environment. Once a being no longer needs to adapt to the environment, evolution slows (think alligators)

@taco_talks Going from asexual reproduction to sexual reproduction is not de-evolving. Evolution is the theory things change over time to prolong their existence. Something that reproduces asexually only makes clones and cannot change without mutations (a fig is a good example)
