Last night, Ric McIver moved Bill 20 to second reading.
No amendments have as of yet been introduced, despite promises that they would be happening.
This is how democracy is taken.

UCP just decided to shut down debate on the legislation that blows up AHS before it even started. Entitlement and power grabs reach new levels every day in Danielle Smith’s UCP. #ableg
.@ABDanielleSmith with a libertarian symbol tattooed on her arm, Danielle Smith argues for big government, crown corporations, and government owned and operated infrastructure and railways.
She’s not conservative or libertarian. She’s lost.

.@PierrePoilievre supporters, passionately opposed to “dictator” Trudeau, must really be shocked by the autocratic nature of Danielle Smith’s Bill 20.

UCP - “Oh you don’t like Bill 20? Here’s what happens when you complain in Danielle Smith’s Alberta!”
(More limiting municipal authority)

Remember when there was a shortage of children’s pain medication and Danielle Smith’s government spent $80 million to import the medication from Turkey?
We’ve now learned the UCP were warned the supply they ordered would arrive AFTER the regular supply would come and after the crisis had largely passed.
It is possible to do things better. We can respond to crisis without panic spending, we can listen to experts, and we can build a more competent government. For Alberta. For all of us.
We don't need federal bribe money, especially when the strings attached will build less homes. We're committed to progress, not to adding more red tape and roadblocks.
@FeatheredCape Yup! Nothing says “welcome to Alberta” quite like rolling blackouts, the most expensive electrify rates in Canada, and blocking green initiatives.
Alberta is NOT a destination of choice: it’s a warning.
A great example of journalism. Holding a politician’s feet to the fire. Perhaps demonstrating some insight into the issues contributing to growing addictions and worsening mental healthcare would console me.
@ABDanielleSmith In case you missed it, Danielle, people in AB are suffering because of you.
Why don’t you do something about the housing, healthcare and drug crisis?
When are you going to do your job?
People are dying because of you. #ableg#abpoli
Danielle Smith has mused about dealing with hospital overcrowding by sending patients to hotels.
Wonder how this 62-year old semi-paralyzed wheelchair-bound stroke victim ended up in an inaccessible room at the Leduc Travelodge?
