Today we used multi link cubes to segment 7. We broke the 7 cube tower into two pieces and discussed what parts we had. We then developed the skills to share our number sentences such as 5+2=7, 4+3=7. Great partner work Class 1! @RockinghamPrim
New worker of the week certificates look great - well done to this child who acts as a role model for other children. She demonstrates kindness and is always helpful โบ๏ธ
We developed our fine motor skills further by releasing the dinosaurs from the elastic bands. An added challenge element was racing against the timer! @RockinghamPrim
We created our own bird feeders whilst developing our fine motor skills. We threaded cheerios onto pipe cleaners and made them into different shapes. We discussed where would be best to place them for the birds to eat. @RockinghamPrim
We sculpted clay to make our own dinosaur eyes this term. It was great to watch the children manipulate the clay and use different tools to achieve their desired design. Then, we selected a colourful eyeball to put in the centre. @RockinghamPrim
Weโve started daily affirmations in Class 1 this week as part of our mindfulness sessions.
It has been lovely to discuss what the affirmations mean and relate them to ourselves. Today = I am unique ๐๐ป celebrating differences and what makes us special.
