Just arrived at our NYC hotel, grabbed some quick food at a bodega down the street and now watching the rest of that Netherlands vs Morocco game! ๐ณ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฆ

The FIFA World Cup should be held in the United States of America indefinitely.
No other country has the infrastructure or capabilities that America has -- this is the ONLY logical solution.
Let's get it done FIFA!
๐จ The United States is exploring the possibility of launching a bid to host the 2038 World Cup, a tournament FIFA are considering expanding to 64-teams. ๐บ๐ธ
๐ฃ๏ธ "We already have the stadiums built. Unlike other host nations that need to spend tens of billions, our costs would only be a few billion."
๐ญ Should FIFA return to the U.S. just 12 years after 2026, or is it time to take the World Cup to new countries?
(Source: BBC Sport)
I can't afford to go to a World Cup game. Yet all these fans from 3rd world countries are flying over, staying in jacked up overpriced hotels, and then spending $5k per ticket. Are we all being told lies? Is America poor or is it just me?
Watching the World Cup has me asking questions. Do Europeans get issued 8 weeks of vacation, unlimited airline miles, and a trust fund at birth? Because every match I turn on there are 40,000 fans following their team to a different state or country on a Tuesday afternoon while Americans are hiding in a work bathroom checking scores.
America should host the World Cup every single time.
We've got 40+ stadiums that hold 65,000+ spectators. The rest of the world combined can barely match that.
FIFA ticket sales?
2010 (South Africa): $300 million
2014 (Brazil): $527 million
2018 (Russia): $541 million
2022 (Qatar): $686 million
2026 (Mostly USA): >$3 billion projected
Even adjusted for more teams (48 vs 32) and more group stage matches, these numbers are off the charts, and exclude hospitality, F&B, travel, hotels, etc.
Just ask Freddy.
