It's hilarious how Donald Trump is talking about "foregoing his $400,000 presidential salary" two days after he spent $1,700,000 of taxpayer money on personal political ads
Sen. @amyklobuchar: We have confirmed that you were right, Mr. Smith. The Iowa Hawkeyes played Maryland on February 3, 2024. The final score was 93-85. Iowa won and Caitlin Clark scored 30 points, so it must've been a pretty good game. The game was, in fact, in Maryland. For a US senator to have false information and imply that you were in another city and then call you a 'dirtbag' is something that deserves an apology.
Iowa Republicans are already clamoring to offer up MORE taxpayer funded credits to Masabi Metallics - the India company supposedly planning to build a steel mill in Iowa.
Mesabi just came out of bankruptcy 3 years ago.

Made Hyderabadi wedding curry with tofu:
Toasted almond flour & coconut. covered tofu with spices. Cooked up onions. Then kinda-puréed ginger/garlic, add to pan. Add soy sauce, sambal olek, chili powder, lots of fresh cilantro & lots of dried fenugreek leaves.
So damn good

Talking about my struggles with being overweight still makes me uncomfortable, since weight can carry moral judgment in ways that other health challenges don't.
But that fear stops too many struggling from getting treatment that could extend their lives. https://t.co/Fw3sZHMnQ4
A quick note about The Bulwark.
We are obviously an outlet with a core worldview. But we also believe in conversation, dialogue, the differences of opinion and the value community. There's a lot of back and forth on this platform all the time about which candidates we favor or not, or what stories we emphasize or don't. No media company is immune from those criticisms. Nor should those criticisms stop.
But what makes The Bulwark unique, imo, is that we also put in the work to better converse, to foster dialogue, and to build community.
Yesterday, many Bulwark members were on the ground in Springfield to talk to members of the Haitian community there. Last night, we held a show in nearby Dayton to raise awareness and funds for those Haitians. I had the honor of hosting a conversation with Carl Ruby, Viles Dorsainvil, and Michaelle Louis — three truly remarkable individuals doing God's work in this corner of Ohio. It made me realize how the root of our problems really is an inability to talk to and understand one another. How we've replaced that, with the manufactured, algorithmic version on the platform on which I type.
As for community, more than 1,000 people attended last night's event, from all over the state of Ohio and well beyond. They were there because they want to make sense of the world and because they want a better world, much like we do. Between them and those who gave online, we have raised $245k for the Haitian Support Center. I'm incredibly proud to play a small role in doing this. It makes me proud, as well, to work at The Bulwark. Please consider giving if you can.

Before the week begins, I have a specific request:
Spread the word about the threats to democracy and how we can fight back. Tell everyone to subscribe to Democracy Docket and share its content. https://t.co/7W0yoPHUfA
