I helped a coach who works with 7-fig entrepreneurs relaunch his newsletter.
@Mystical_x0 has been practicing meditation for 16+ years.
Leigh’s mission is to help entrepreneurs transform patterns of stress, anxiety and self-doubt into inner peace and mental freedom.
He’s coached all sorts of entrepreneurs:
• CEO’s of companies with 1,000,000’s of followers.
• Elite sales people pulling $70M+ per year.
• Biz owners of $15M+ companies.
He reached out to me asking for my ninja feedback on his newsletter.
Having such high-performers as his ICP takes a lot of work.
This left him with little time for his newsletter.
So I offered my help.
A couple DM’s and a call later, I got to work.

He was using Substack to email his list.
But when it comes to newsletters, Substack lacks a couple important things:
- No segmentation options.
- No automation.
- No fun.
And worst of all:
- No email sequences.
In other words: it doesn’t let you introduce yourself to new subscribers.
And first impressions are CRUCIAL when building your personal brand.
So I began the process of moving his newsletter to ConvertKit.
The plan was simple:
1. Create a ConvertKit page and move his subscribers there.
2. Build a welcome sequence for him.
3. Ninja stuff I can’t share.
But work didn’t stop there - I wanted to overdeliver.

Back in Substack, his lead magnet was a 40+ page doc.
When we moved to ConvertKit, we switched to a more actionable, 16-page doc instead.
But Leigh also gave another free goodie: guided somatic meditation.
How does that work, you might ask?
Good question, my astute follower – you’ll have to subscribe to find out.
And given the CTR, looks like people liked it. 👀

So now we had a fresh newsletter, a welcome sequence plus the free goodies.
But there’s more.
Most people have the wrong idea about what meditation is.
And what Leigh teaches is a high ROI skill that’s worth more than money.
Plus:
• Burnout is a problem many entrepreneurs face.
So I wanted to provide more value.
His 16-page doc mentioned a little-known meditation technique about introspective awareness.
(It’s an advanced topic that I won’t go over here.)
I went ahead and turned that into more content for his newsletter.
That became an extra email, disconnected from the welcome sequence.
The results for that single broadcast?
A nice increase from his Substack stats.
Is your cart abandonment rate giving you nightmares?
Wake up – you can recover ‘em.
⛩ 63% of abandoned carts are recoverable (sounds crazy I know, but look it up).
So get the math on your side and do these things:
1. Remove steps from the purchasing process.
(The less steps between "add to cart" and "thank you for your purchase,” the more $$$ you’ll make.)
2. Send abandoned cart emails.
(Remember to throw in some reviews & testimonials for that nice FOMO.)
3. Offer a small discount.
(Better to make SOME money than NO money, right?)
Key takeaway: every abandoned cart is a lesson.
P.S. Your competitors are probably ignoring this – don't be like them.
If your conversion rates are flatter than a pancake…
Then it’s time to spice things up & reanalyze your stuff.
🥞 Who's your ideal customer? (Hint: It's not "everyone.")
🥞 Are you writing your copy for them ONLY? (One-size-fits-all = RIP business).
🥞 What problem are you solving with your product? (If you can't answer in 3 seconds, you're in trouble).
It’s YOUR business, but it’s about THEM.
Do everything with your customer in mind, my friend.
You'll find gold (dollars, actually) in their feedback.
Low website traffic got you down?
Cheer up my friend. There’s a solution to every problem.
- What are your bounce rates?
- Your traffic sources?
- Time on site?
There’s a LIMITED amount of things that could result in low web traffic.
So improve them one by one.
Remember:
If you want more $$$, your SEO ranking is your best friend (or worst enemy).
“The market is saturated.”
Yes it is. And that’s GOOD.
1. It proves there's demand (no one fights over an empty pie).
2. When all brands are doing the same thing, you only have to be different.
3. Saturation means people are actively looking for the product. So they're ready to buy.
Change your mindset from "is there room for me?" to "how will I own this space?"
And then own the space. *drops mic*
Can you use a plasma cutter?
(It’s a tool that cuts through metal plates for massive machinery).
So, can you use it?
(Unless you’re a shipyard worker, you probably can’t.)
Does that mean plasma cutters don’t work?
No.
“A tool is only as good as the person who wields it.”
AI copywriting is the same.
You need to give it the right context.
1. What tone do you want to use?
2. How long do you want the copy to be?
3. Can you give the AI examples of your brand's voice?
Remember:
・ Be specific.
Because if you don’t, it’s like baking a cake without knowing the ingredients.
And nobody wants a gross cake.
Customer acquisition cost (CAC) can be a headache.
So here’s some aspirin for ya:
⛩️ Lifetime value. ⛩️
Focus on increasing how much each customer spends over time (not just getting new ones).
• Do some nice cross & upselling in the checkout page.
• Give exclusive deals for repeat buyers - make them feel special.
• Create a loyalty program (that lasts longer than celebrity marriages).
Moral of the story:
1 customer who buys 10 times > 10 customers who buy 1 time.
@ecomlegend Mega based
I'm on that period of the first 1 - 3 years where you do nothing but put your head down, and grind despite little to no results
It's going to suck. It is going to be hard.
But I know it will be damn worth it in the end
Let’s do some math together:
More reviews = More trust = More sales.
Simple enough, right?
And yet… Most brands don’t ask for reviews.
Why? Fear.
Fear of negative reviews.
Fear of looking desperate.
Fear of bothering customers.
But here's the truth:
Customers appreciate being valued.
70% of customers will leave a review if asked.
And besides, negative reviews can help you improve.
Ask.
Grow.
Repeat.
