The agreement that MSU pushed onto our student organizations highlights the same problem we have on the board of trustees - an environment that demands allegiance to the views of those in power.
Im glad that - thanks to the @MSUCR - this has been changed, but the issue remains. Our universities must teach students how to think, not what to think, and to fix this culture we need change to start at the top.
This is why I decided to run for MSU Trustee, to focus our univeristy on the mission it was founded to pursue.
UPDATE. Our university has changed the language in the agreement. This is a HUGE VICTORY for our movement. We need to keep putting pressure on these universities to completely end this WOKE NONSENSE.
Thank you to everyone who helped get this message out. This is only the tip of the iceberg. DEI is still deeply embedded in our university, and we will continue to do everything we can to completely eradicate this radical ideology.
In his statement, the message President Guskiewicz sent is clear. Board dysfunction at MSU has once again failed our students, staff, alumni, and all of the Michiganders who support this institution.
Michigan State must ensure transparency as we begin this next chapter. We need to replace the dysfunction with common sense and collaboration. If I am elected, I am committed to doing just that.
For those who care about Michigan State University, today is a sad day.
President Guskiewicz has announced that he will leave MSU for a job at another university - one that pays considerably less than what MSU offered.

The students and faculty at Michigan State are advancing incredible research in areas like medicine and agriculture. We must continue to invest in these efforts, partnering with leaders at the state and federal level. Let's make MSU a national leader in research and continue to expand our impact.
In Lansing, Michigan with the incredible @RepTomBarrett at the MSU Dairy Research Facility! And we heard directly from producers and delivered real results. 🇺🇸🥛🐄
Michigan leads as the #2 state for specialty crops, and we’re backing that up with:
• TWO new Specialty Crop Investments (SCRI + Block Grants to states)
• Expanded funding through the One Big Beautiful Bill
• Additional bridge payments to support farmers right now
At the same time, we’re investing in the future. Training the next generation to grow a $15.7B dairy industry that powers Michigan’s ag economy.
This is what delivering for farmers looks like!
I was able to attend a number of events in West Michigan this morning honoring our service members who made the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of our country.
Proud to celebrate the ribbon cutting of MSU’s upgraded greenhouse facilities — strengthening research, innovation and our leadership in plant science. These facilities will help Spartans tackle global challenges in agriculture, sustainability and food security. Go Green!
Thanks to all who celebrated the ribbon-cutting of the new and updated @michiganstateu greenhouses today. This milestone marks our commitment to advancing and protecting Michigan’s food systems and environment. It wouldn’t have been possible without our great partners’ support.
Very grateful to celebrate the new @michiganstateu Plant Science Research Greenhouse Complex and to recognize the many stakeholders, partners and friends who made it possible. #GoGreen

#MSU needs to return to its roots and refocus on its core mission. Taxpayers and students deserve confidence that their dollars are being put to good use.
I look forward to discussing the important role MSU has to play here in Michigan and the university recommitting itself to the principles it was founded on as we continue to work through the state budget process.
Good week at #MSU Started the week with Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins at the Dairy Farm and wrapped up the week at the 38th annual horticulture student plant sale. Picked up a few plants too!

“Michigan Agri-Business Association members endorse state Sen. Roger Victory for Michigan State University Trustee
LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan Agri-Business Association (MABA) PAC today endorsed state Sen. Roger Victory in his bid for Michigan State University trustee, emphasizing the value of Sen. Victory’s agricultural experience and his proven track record as a voice for Michigan agriculture.
“As he has done throughout his career of service to our state, Senator Victory will be a strong voice for agriculture and rural Michigan as a Michigan State University trustee,” MABA president Chuck Lippstreu said. “Michigan State University was founded as an agricultural institution, plays a central role in agricultural innovation and deserves an experienced agricultural voice on its Board of Trustees. Rural business leaders across Michigan are proud to endorse Senator Victory in his bid to lead the way as an MSU trustee.”
MABA candidate endorsements are made by its political action committee board, in partnership with the association’s board of directors, representing MABA members from across Michigan and across the agricultural system.”
I am grateful that another organization has decided to weigh in early on the race for Michigan State Trustee - I so appreciate the full support of the Michigan Agri-Business Association!
