Agreed, not evil, but whenever one shows up they usually are ordering the captain to do some BS he doesn't want to do. They aren't afraid to pull rank. I think that's the point though, they evoke the feeling of having to do something your boss tells you to do even though you know it's a dumb decision.
I like this idea of a west wing style Star Trek show though. TNG taught us the ideal way to live honorably as individuals, it would be nice to see a government act the same way. And imagine if Aaron Sorkin wrote it, ahhh 🤌

@ThomBrady5 He’s still cheerful because he’s in his 20’s, he thinks there’s still time. Wait until he’s in his 40’s and it sinks in what was done to him. And by whom.
@WalkerAmerica It started off as a fun game, another little quirky “in the club” thing, like the wave or the “it’s a jeep thing” stickers. It went off the rails when some took it way too far and it crossed into being obnoxious.
@BeardsonBeardly Yup. They take enough money from me by force via taxes to give to these useless bioweapons, they're not getting my discretionary funds too. That, and I try to avoid blacks as a general rule, why would I want to pretend to be one?
@OMApproach Interesting thought. They keep saying if we knew the truth we’d all freak out. I suppose finding out the alien sightings are actually the souls of the dead watching us would fit that statement
