MY LORD, MY SHEPHERD
My lord, My Shepherd, mighty and ever near
You graced this lost sheep,
Leaving the ninety nine;
On a journey of love, you seek me out.
Resting beside the still waters of serenity,
Deep in the meadows, your presence brings peace....
Pathways of promises, illuminated by your unwavering light.
How, oh how reassuring is your love,
Enveloping me in tender gentle light
Returned, restored and renewed by Your grace,
Delightfully, I’m back home with you again, forever.
MY LORD, MY SHEPHERD
My lord, My Shepherd, mighty and ever near
You graced this lost sheep,
Leaving the ninety nine;
On a journey of love, you seek me out.
Resting beside the still waters of serenity,
Deep in the meadows, your presence brings peace....
My shepherd, my guide
Your trusty shepherd’s bosom, I have made my secure place.
Shadows and valleys through, your heart leads the way,
Herding and guiding my lost soul
Eagerly, I follow your voice that leads to pathways of peace.....
Ithaka. By C. P. Cavafy. Not sure how I managed not to read this poem until now. Should be mandatory reading for all PhD students, especially now. Beautiful. #phdlife#phdchat#AcademicChatter#AcademicTwitter

Conversations are underrated fr. The art of talking to someone and getting a response isn't recognized by the good people of this world as rate-worthy. It is sad🤧
