Swift Response, Safe Reunion.

A missing youth was traced and safely reunited with his family within 4 hours of FIR registration following the swift and coordinated efforts of PS Aberdeen.

Under the supervision of Inspr. Vijay Kumar, SHO PS Aberdeen, the team comprising SI Dinesh Jaiswal, HC(SG) Mohd. Rafique & PC K. Jagadish Babu carried out intensive searches, CCTV analysis and coordinated field operations, leading to the successful tracing of the missing youth.

Continuing the Liquor Crackdown

Continuing its sustained drive against illegal liquor, South Andaman Police achieved two more successes. PS Aberdeen seized 24 bottles (180 ml each) of IMFL during an excise operation at Mohanpura Market, Aberdeen Bazar, while PS Ograbraj destroyed 40 litres of illicit lehan (fermented wash) during a jungle search at Cattlegunj. Further legal action is underway.

Information was received at PS Campbell Bay in the early hours of 11/07/2026 that a murder had taken place near the footpath of Fish landing jetty. Immediately swinging into action, teams from PS Campbell Bay secured the scene of crime, collected relevant technical and biological evidence, recovered weapon of offence and apprehended the accused, all within 2 hours.

Commendations to Team PS Campbell Bay, led by SHO Insp. Mithun Kirtonia, along with SI Dilip Singh, SI Arthi Roy and SI Risha, for their swift and professional handling of the case.

A vigilant citizen alerted ERSS-112 after two minor children were found lost at Marina Park. The alert was immediately relayed to the Police Control Room, and PCR Power-1 reached the spot within just 5 minutes. After identifying their residence in Shadipur, the children were safely reunited with their guardians.

On 8th May, A&N Traffic Police promptly ensured an obstruction-free passage to facilitate the swift movement of an ambulance carrying a critical patient from Ritika Hospital, Garacharma, to the Airport for air evacuation by Special Air Ambulance.

Covering a distance of 6.3 km in just 6 minutes, seamless movement was ensured through effective coordination and traffic regulation. The timely intervention saved precious minutes and ensured the patient’s safety. 🚑

From January to April 2026, A&N Traffic Police booked 346 vehicles for Drunk Driving during special enforcement drives across Sri Vijaya Puram. 🚔

On 04/05/2026, acting on credible intel, PS Billiground launched a swift strike in the Nimbudera forest, busting an illegal liquor setup hidden deep inside. The team seized 02 drums containing around 400 litres of fermented wash (Lehan). With no claimant found, the entire stock was destroyed on the spot as per due procedure. Cracking down hard. Keeping communities safe.
