On the 'International Day Against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking' , Andaman & Nicobar Police united communities across the islands. At Flag Point, Smt. Geeta Rani Verma, IPS, IGP, A&N Police, administered oath to police personnel and general public and flagged off the Anti-Drug Bike Rally. A&N Police also conducted rallies, sports events, and awareness programmes across the islands. A&N Police is committed towards making the islands Drugs-free.

Operation Coral Shield continues!

Continuing the intensified Anti-Poaching Operation Coral Shield, on 19.12.2025 the PS Diglipur & PS Kalighat team conducted sustained tracking and intensive jungle combing in the dense forest areas of Coffee Dera, leading to the apprehension of one more poacher with the active support of local villagers.

The operation involves intensive ground searches and continuous surveillance to track and apprehend remaining offenders. Combing operations remain underway with sustained momentum.

N&MA District Police remain steadfast in protecting marine and forest biodiversity, preventing illegal trespassing and ensuring environmental and territorial security.
