Once this trust was established, we came together and went through the Agricultural Revolution, where so much of what sustained us came from the cow or the same ecosystem. The ox ploughed our fields, cow manure helped us grow food, and cow dung was even used as a source of fuel and heat. The cow, in many ways, became the biological representation of motherhood for early human societies. Without such a symbiotic relationship with nature, perhaps nature itself would have brutally eliminated us, just as it does with any species that survives by exploiting its ecosystem without adapting and evolving.

The NIOS text book is a slap in the face of great tribal leaders who have been fighting Christian missionaries from 19th century till data including 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝘀𝗮 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮, 𝗝𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗕𝗵𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘁, 𝗛𝗮𝗶𝗽𝗼𝘂 𝗝𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗴, 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗶 𝗚𝗮𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗹𝗶𝘂, 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗸 𝗢𝗿𝗮𝗼𝗻, 𝗗𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵 𝗕𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗮, 𝗡𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗞𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝗶, 𝗥𝗮𝗷𝗸𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗱𝗮 and countless tribals.

The NIOS text book completely whitewashes the missionary atrocities on forced conversions like Goa Inquisition & hides how tribals since 19th century opposed the missionary activities tooth and nail.

The book portrays that christianity has been a savior for tribals and those who did not convert to Christianity were worse off.
The book does not even mention how christianity destroyed every single indigenous cultures and civilizations in Africa, South America, Europe and the treatment Christian missionaries meted out to slaves.

Any 16 year old Hindu kid reading this would reach only one conclusion- Conversion to Christianity is good, Christianity saved tribals and the Hindus who oppose conversion to Christianity are evil. Hindu kids will have no correct historical context.

Our text books aren't teaching skills.
They are brainwashing kids!!!
