@BaluGorade 2x cover in HDFC Ergo hence expensive.
A fair comparison wod be to do 20 Lacs premium for Icici & Tata Medicare. Tata Medicare has multiple plans not sure which it. If it is Medicare Select then there is a room restriction.
@ActusDei Not sure about the wealth advisors fee...AI certainly is making journalists switch to wealth management to earn the part of the pie that wealth advisors earn.

@themahavir Tax free status on maturity is still a pull for many. Some think it is better than a FD. An FD will give 5-7% plus the taxation will apply. A traditional plan will give similar return minus the taxation.
@BeshakIN The regulator is too focused on selling and achieving insurance for all. They don't want to look at such defination as part of policy wording.
@Being_Humor In the thread shared it seems to be tht policyholder had not disclosed past history of health. Insurer on its part is correct to deny the claim. Had the stated condition been disclosed at time of taking the policy insurer would either charge loading premium or denied the cover.
@Keystone2Trade Few things 1) Disclosure of past illness is important. If not disclosed it means non-disclosure. 2) After 5 yrs Moratorium period applies meaning claim can not be denied unless it is proven fraud.
Please file a complaint in ombudsman for resolution
@drprashantmish6 Reassure had a clause introduced over a year ago..wherein if one does not make a claim is offered a favourable discount. This discount is removed if one makes a claim.
@themahavir It use to b the same way earlier where limits were defined. PSUs still offer plans with limits. But then came in Pvt players who said we will give policy holders more at similar price.V now hve insurers offering everything (unlimited) on paper but in reality it wod b different
@gurjota Very curious to know special discount which is valid for "yesterday only"
Incase you rec'd your policy copy... Could you plz enlightenment on bonus 100% bonus SA irrespective of SA also 2 hr hospitalisation what it would cover.
@ActusDei@apri_sharma This is lucky dip. First ensure defined conditions are met and then it will be made available. Buying a larger cover is always better.
@themahavir There are also instances where in for lower sum insured the TPA desk at the hospital will have a notice that the hospital does not have tie-up for any kind of room.. inspite of policy stating any kind of room
@BeshakIN It is time that hospitals come under a regulator preferably irdai to rationalize cost of treatment. A separate regulator will complicate things.
🚨Patients in many cities are facing challenges accessing the “Cashless Everywhere” facility.
Despite its promising intent, hospitals are hesitant to fully implement it. 😲
Find out why. 👇
