Realizing that you are autistic or ADHD or acknowledging neurodivergence is so freeing, or at least it was for me. I realized that I wasn't actually broken, or over dramatic, or lazy, that there was a reason some things seemed more difficult for me than they apparently should.
@selkiepoem@kitterkkatter As a former bard player (I don't play d&d anymore) I would genuinely ask and then after you explain I would respect that and then pick another class! Like mina said there's other classes to choose from, bard isn't the end all be all
The most painful symptom of ADHD is RSD – Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria. It makes every small mistake feel unforgivable, like you’re a failure and already ruined everything...
ADHD is not "I forgot."
It’s: I remembered, panicked, avoided, remembered again at 3am, over-prepared in my head, still didn’t do it, hated myself, then forgot.
When people say "everyone is a little ADHD" I always want to be like oh word? you also frequently lose the physical ability to start basic tasks and just sit in a paralyzing cycle of shame while your life falls apart? or did you just forget where you put your keys?
