“Women end up getting a PhD in their own condition.”
When answers arent clear or don’t come quickly, women often find themselves researching, tracking patterns, asking difficult questions, and trying to make sense of it all on their own.

I know most NHS hospitals have a protocol for management of sickle cell crisis but lots of people are still getting fobbed off and having to self discharge.
The same goes for endometriosis patients having a flare.
Why aren't we taken seriously?
This #WorldHealthDay, we're thinking of every woman living with #endometriosis, yet unable to access care. Every woman who sat in a doctor's office and was sent home without answers. Every woman who missed work, missed school, missed life, missed herself... because of #endo 1/2
NOBCChE WSU spreading inspiration during a K-12 outreach session to the UPREP Ellen Thompson Campus. The volunteers demonstrated two experiments; the polydensity bottle and the elephant toothpaste reaction. A reminder of why STEM outreach is so important. #STEM#wsuchemistry
Rest in Peace to Professor Pius Adesanmi. It's been 7 years since he died in the Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 crash. One of my fond memories of his writing is "The Parable Of The Shower Head". That writing sums up the mediocrity of the entire Nigerian state.
The absolute worst sin you can commit as a Nigerian woman is having audacity. Literally refusing to be a mumu, standing up for yourself in any way, not pretending that you don’t peep rubbish. This society must punish you for it
1 in 10 women have endometriosis and it takes an average of 7-8 years to get diagnosed .
When period pain has become debilitating affecting quality of life ,it should be investigated.

Happy International Women’s Day 💐
Today we’re celebrating the incredible women who have shared their wisdom and experiences with us, and the amazing women in our community whose support makes what we do so special. Thank you for always showing up for us.
In the current global climate, it can sometimes feel like we’re moving backwards when it comes to women’s rights, and days like this can feel a little performative.
But it’s still important to recognise how far we’ve come and celebrate the voices and communities continuing to push things forward.
We have always been about the gworls and we always will be. 💛💛
Happy International Women’s Day 💜💫🎗. This year, we embrace a simple truth: Give to Gain. When we give support, awareness and empathy, we gain empowered women, stronger voices and happier families. Let’s keep lifting each other and breaking the silence around endometriosis.
This month, we lift our voices higher.
We educate with patience.
We advocate with courage.
We stand together... united not only in our pain, but in our power.
You are not alone🎗
Happy Endometriosis Awareness Month!
