@RealVetNation @wilderpatriot It varies state-by-state, but the program in Michigan only applies if you DON'T have enough money in savings. So those of us who saved up for a down payment are then robbed of free money. Also, that free money here in Michigan is like 6k -- doesn't even cover the closing costs.

So to make a 10% down payment on a 200k house, you have to have 28k ready for a down payment. Someone who struggles to buy groceries will never be able to save up that much money.

@RealVetNation @wilderpatriot Starter homes barely exist anymore. I cannot emphasize enough just how insanely expensive buying a house is, on a level older generations just don't understand. "Oh, it's only 200k, totally doable." Do you understand how hard it is to make a 10% down payment on that?

Polish swordsmen were non-pareil; we developed the “art of the cross” fencing style and there is a story how the Polish sword master beat a samurai.

Sadly, this art is almost extinct partially because in the west we think that martial arts is Asia and we have no traditions.
