"God has determined as he said in Luke 12:2-3, that the secrets will be uncovered, the truth will come forth, and God's thought about every behavior and action will be vindicated.
What's done in the dark will come to light, and thank God he has created it to operate so!"
A new report by @NewlinesInst concludes that “there is a reasonable basis to believe that members of the Ethiopian National Defence Forces, Amhara Special Forces & the Eritrean Defence Forces have committed genocide against Tigrayans.” https://t.co/xLCPwQzJdr
The focus on DDR while ignoring the restoration of Tigray's territories, withdrawal of enemy forces and continuation of #TigrayGenocide by other means shows taking a side. The IC once again is failing #Tigray.
Breaking: Filsan Abdi has agreed to sign this appeal. She’s the former Ethiopian minister of women and children. Appeal to UN Women over gross abuses of Tigrayan women https://t.co/vqFC577KGj
Human Rights defenders & academics call upon @UN_CSW for immediate action against the grave CRSV inflicted on women in Tigray & beyond.
Happy to add my signature to this crucial appeal.

In a recent EU session, MP @galleerie says @OCHA_Ethiopia said to him "so you want to know about Tigray? The first we can talk about Tigray and then we can talk about the real problems ... it is because they [Tigray] are the loudest". 1/n
5th February - #Tigray: UK warns of food crisis triggered by war and drought
The UK's Africa Minister @AndrewmitchMP has said there is "every danger" of famine in Tigray unless action is taken to prevent it.
His warning was echoed by regional leaders in the country who said the world was ignoring a worsening crisis triggered by war and drought.
The #Ethiopian government said 16 million people across the country are facing food shortages, with almost half of those suffering emergency or severe levels of food insecurity.

#Ethiopia & #Eritrea are guilty of #TigrayGenocide
Today, I impressed upon @SecYellen the importance of holding accountable those responsible for human rights abuses in #Tigray and sanctioning #Eritrean and Fano forces in #Ethiopia that @hrw has identified as having committed mass atrocities.

Eritrean troops are abducting farmers and stealing hundreds of livestock in border regions of Ethiopia -- 15 months after a peace agreement required them to withdraw.

“On Jan. 22, 8 herders were abducted with their donkeys & camels. In another, on Dec. 6, six people were abducted along with 56 livestock. In a third, on Dec. 5, Eritrean soldiers stole 100 animals.” Where is COH? @melaniejoly @Rob_Oliphant https://t.co/jkwMqf0QLn
The drought in northern #Ethiopia is hitting communities hard, especially those yet to recover from two years of conflict.
Time is of the essence. We have a short window of opportunity to prevent further deterioration with more funds and an urgent scale-up of the response.
Please help 20 million starved people in #Ethiopia
I am from #Tigray and survivor of #TigrayGenocide
Yet I know the difference between political clique and the mass.
And I'd always feel intimate with the starved communities.
Hence, I plead for all in need.
Please help.
This is the greatest humanitarian crisis of the decade, though it gets so little attention.
@USAID needs to make this its first priority.

"In northern Ethiopia, a new famine could rival the worst of the past" by @globeandmail ⬇️

#Ethiopia's #Tigray region is "on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe the likes of which have not been seen since the infamous 1984-85 famine," says head of the regional interim admin. The IRA is unable to tackle the issue since it "operates with extremely limited resources."
📌 Heeding the call to stave off another impending catastrophe in #Tigray (Please Retweet)
~ Federal Government.
♦️ Here is a chance for you to redeem yourselves.
You have a very heavy hand for causing this.
You brought a devil incarnate, terrorist state of #Eritrea as well as local terrorists to have the people of #Tigray get to where they are now. The only way there will be a chance to redeem yourself from this heinous crime of yours is to RE-DIRECT all resources, particularly resources that you waste on white elephant projects and palaces to stop this impending disaster.
~ Local Government. (#Tigray Interim Administration)
♦️ The people of #Tigray have trusted you. Their trust went as far as giving their children and livelihood to you without asking much in return. Here is a chance for you to pay them dividends.
~ Open the door to all. Make it easier to work for the people, to help people, to innovate for the benefit of the people free of political party and ideology affiliation.
~ Your singular priority MUST be the people of #Tigray. Not outdated ideology, not pandering to extremists and not trivial noises.
~ Pull all strings there can be pulled, weigh in compromises, work with ANYONE that provides relief to the people and act on it as efficiently and as quickly possible. Cut your bureaucratic red tapes heavily and decisively.
~ Activists, the diaspora and opposition politicians.
♦️ While alerting the UN, the "international community" about the impending disaster is good, you have seen how tepid the response was for your tireless call for the last three years. Hence, re-focus and redirect your efforts in organizing and assisting the relief efforts with all resources you can afford, including b being physically present with those, who need your help in #Tigray.
~ Though it feels good to mock, insult and belittle Ethiopian government, Tigray Interim Administration, Notable Ethiopians, media personalities or many of those who we feel have done the people wrong (trust me I have done it myself and it does feel good) it has 0 value in helping those in dire need. For #Tigray It is much more beneficial to make less enemies and earn more friends (of course with some caveat)
~ Remember that activism has goals to reach. It can't be perpetual. If it becomes perpetual, it won't be activism, but a business. When it becomes a business, it would stop being about the people, but about the "activists".
This way, we can pull it together and we can avoid another tragedy.
Thank you.
Tigray faces famine after war, displacement and drought in some areas plus a locust infestation exacerbated the situation, said the president of Tigray's interim administration, Getachew Reda. https://t.co/KgWNibTBTF
