“Satan dreads nothing but prayer. His one concern is to keep the saints from praying. He fears nothing from prayerless studies, prayerless work, prayerless religion.
He laughs at our toil, he mocks our wisdom, but he trembles when we pray.”
Samuel Chadwick
@Lynnrx52@TheJFreakinC Define "threat" because even those details matter.
I've seen plenty of videos of cops who claimed they were being threatened when it was painfully clear they were not.
@Mbakaza4L Science proves that there are feet at 8 weeks. Maybe you should study up on basic biology, but South Africa isn't known for being the bastion of education. In fact, it has a notably lower IQ than most of the developed world.
This may explain things.
@ThrillaRilla369 As a late Gen-X latch-key kid, I survived just fine without too much of a problem. I don't think it was always for a full 8 hour stretch, but surely by the time I was 11, it wasn't completely out of the realm of possibility.
When we recall what Thomas Jefferson wrote about being endowed by our creator with certain unalienable rights in the Declaration of Independence - and couple that with the Bill of Rights to ensure what the government could not do - the Second Amendment is a human right, full stop.
While I don't necessarily agree with the humanist perspective, it's not that far removed from a biblical one.
The marriage remains protected from temptation when you don't deprive one another, which is why the each spouse has control over the other.
1 Corinthians 7:3-5 covers this.
Sin can absolutely be an economic variable if you apply the right data with the toolset.
Let us not forget that something known as a "sin tax" exists. You could also look at statistical data under the right framework as to societal impacts as it applies to sexuality. It's just a matter of going in with the correct mindset.

There are several ways then to look at sexuality as it applies to economics. Incentives often help to explain human behavior.

It should be noted that @Freakonomics isn't the be all, end all when it comes to conclusions, but the point is about how one can use economic tools as a lens to understand the why and how behind things.
The issue is getting it as a 10lb roll. I should note that the it's the same price for me as well.
That said, I'm much more likely to split my shopping between multiple stores. While slightly higher per lb, I'd rather hit up my local Smiths (Kroger) location, since it's a lower initial investment than buying a $50 roll of beef in a tube.
Of course, if I want to plan ahead, I can also pick up something leaner at my local Albertson's and it's even cheaper with the BOGO.
When you are an island country that can control its borders with strict immigration and have a homogeneity rate of more than 97%, it's much easier to have a society that is consistent.
The United States cannot compare nor would it be realistic to do so.
Japan's land mass is approximately 377,975 km², while the United States land mass is approximately 9,866,624 km² in comparison. Then there is the matter of a lack of strict border enforcement where smuggling takes place due to shared borders, and an estimated 500 million privately owned firearms.
Aside all of that, the right to bear arms is a human right as enshrined in our 2nd Amendment.
For all our firearms, the overwhelming majority are used responsibly, safely, and legally.
@Ray042128688772@Breaking57 Funny you mention that. You can be too smart to be a cop - as ruled by the Supreme Court - but there's no lower limit.

"That's what I'm trying to figure out."
Yeah, that's a massive problem, since the Supreme Court has said that when an officer detains somebody, they must have specific and objective facts that reasonably indicate the person is, has, or is about to engage in criminal activity. A hunch isn't good enough. It's about the facts known to the officer at the time.
This cop proved he doesn't have reasonable suspicion of criminal activity.
