@TroubledChica Until we can resume service safely in the downtown area, please walk to where service is running, generally starting from 35th, Ashland, or Division.
While I was on my hiatus, I had a chance to sit down with my buddy @mjzalewski to discuss the #ILPrimary contests for #ilsen & #IL9 plus why chickpeas were my primary protein source in Jan.
A month later the content has held up nicely but my meal prep has changed drastically…
Early voting starts today, and @RonHolmesIL and I are Jon Snow. We know nothing. Yet strangely it doesn’t prevent us from talking about it. https://t.co/C6AzVb3Pji
📢 The inaugural edition of the Have All Vote Who Wish… I mean… The Perfunctory Podcast is up featuring 2 guys with distinguished careers in public service and a guy who’s proud that he wore a tie to the state house multiple times this month!
I am proud to announce that I've asked @Tim_Walz to be my running mate.
As a governor, a coach, a teacher, and a veteran, he's delivered for working families like his.
It's great to have him on the team.
Now let’s get to work. Join us:

BREAKING NEWS: Vice President @KamalaHarris will not be speaking at @NABJ in-person or virtually. They offered for her to take questions virtually, but was turned down by NABJ. That makes NO sense. We do interviews DAILY by satellite, Skype and Zoom, so this should have happened.
Media: After 47,000 Black women reportedly were on one call Sunday evening about the #Harris candidacy, @Ryanyoungnews and @Bakari_Sellers tell @AndersonCooper that a call underway tonight (22 July) has more than 20,000 Black men on it, in a new effort to bring Black men together to support @KamalaHarris campaign.
#Sellers: "We've already raised more than $50,000" on the call. "We're saying that Black men in our community are going to stand, arm-in-arm, with Black women. We're going to be a formidable voting bloc. Is that enough to win the presidency of the United States? No. But does that give [Harris] a strong base from which to go out and bring other voters in? The answer to that is yes."
Update:
The majority of IL Democratic officials (that can count) are rushing to Harris because she’s the best positioned and most qualified person to beat Donald Trump and continue the progress we’ve made under Joe Biden.
The whisper campaign that led to this point never included an alternative that could reach consensus.
Luckily, Barack’s VP, Kamala’s running-mate, the leader of the most diverse cabinet in US history and the President that appointed Ketanji has. Let’s embrace it.

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m nervous about the chaos that the next couple of weeks will bring. There are some who may attempt to use this moment to push their agenda over the will of the base. It’s critical that selfishness doesn’t get in the way of success this November.
