@brhodes@jonfavs The lesson of 2010s foreign policy:
great messaging can sell a strategy…
but it can’t substitute for one. Just a critic — a speech maker and little else who can’t retroactively see how little he accomplished.
Iranian opposition groups report thousands dead. BBC citing report from the Iranian government stating 2,000 dead. Interesting who the BBC chooses to cite in this case.
@paulg Incoherent. As if Israel is responsible for billions in wasted dollars plowed into instruments of war, tunnels an missilles. And I guess now also responsible for bad weather.
@mikepat711 This take is spot on. Reading Dan Dowd while having my Model Y v14.1.7 reliably drive me around is one of the great cognitive dissonances of all time. Seeing is believing and it’s still very few people who have seen it yet.
@DirtyTesLa Definitely experiencing similar. Fast response times to peds and cyclists which is great, but also phantom reactions that likely need to be tapered down
@SenSanders 🤦 … so Hamas invaded Israel and killed 1200 people, houthis and hezbollah fired thousands of missiles1 — all of the above funded by Iran. But Israel “began” this “illegal” war?
Iran has invested $80+ billion in its regional proxies — Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis, Assad, militias in Iraq. These violent groups have been engaged in sowing chaos, death, have fired tens of thousands of rockets at Israel — and yet in Iran their citizens lack bomb shelters.
