@mikeloc1221@AcrossAisle You tell me. You're spending all day on X handwringing over a fuggin innocuous crack about Trump's citywide vanity project equating that to why Dems list in 2024 (spoiler alert: it was Joe Biden; not me)
So when do put up bleachers and host some gaudy swimming event? I mean, that's what we're doing, right? Turning the nation's Capitol into some giant theme park of sporting venues, yeah?
@tacojohn1879@TheRealGAPeach3@atlurbanist Sure I do. Splain the diff btw me funding GDOT building your town an overpass when I'll never use it vs. GDOT potentially bolstering ATL mass transit you say you'll never use. I can show the economic benefits/impact that'll dwarf just about anything outside the airport itself.
@GALawtender@atlurbanist It’s JUST about all I’ve talked about this week on my show. Again, liberals have to grow spines & stand up to bullies but don’t do so enough.
@elonmusk The globe’s first TRILLIONAIRE who funded Trump’s re-election where Trump family grift & govt contracts to said trillionaire are hallmarks has some 🥝s to use the word “corruption.”
@jaysbookman … which is why the state needs to step in. It’s not just ATLANTA that needs a healthy, viable mass transit system. More than half the state’s population does.
@jaysbookman I don’t care who gets blamed first; a changeover in personnel won’t fix the long term system shortcomings that include right wing sabotage & demonizing for political gain. The solution is state involvement & funding.
@jaysbookman Oh I'm not saying those in positions at MARTA, the city, et al, are absolved. I'm saying conservatives are complicit & their appetite for ostracizing w/o offering solutions only magnify the problem as they play to their base.
@Pungbot2000@the_transit_guy The advent of the US interstate system DID kill many towns, though, as well as decimating black & brown neighborhoods in the cities the system did roll through.
