The idea that someone who has served in the Georgia legislature either is unaware that MARTA is funded by local governments and run by a Board appointed almost entirely by Democrat-run local governments is silly.
Of course this has been in place since MARTA was founded when Georgia was run entirely by Democrats.
So either Rep. Romman is displaying a shocking level of ignorance or an upsetting level of dishonesty.
Pretty much this. I would add that it is a fact that MARTA needs significant state funding to fill gaps but that still doesn’t make up for the fact that incompetent ppl run the show. State funding boost+bringing in competent folks to run MARTA is needed. BOTH not either or.
The hotel industry has a weird inverse relationship between price and value.
$92 La Quinta: Sure, take some extra waffles for the road, and fill up your cooler with ice while you're here
$300 Downtown Marriott: You'll take out a second mortgage by touching this water bottle
@mustache_fatwa The interstate highway system is Atlanta’s greater infrastructure asset second to that being the commercial freight rail. MARTA isn’t a big deal. Sorry.
