Last night, I read the entirety of C.S. Lewis' The Screwtape Letters. It's a novel told in the form of letters written by a demon to another demon instructing him on ways to manipulate his "patient" to do evil.

The cashier pays for your protest. The suburban parents pays for your sanctuary city. The trade school kid pays for your student loan forgiveness. The taxpayer pays for your foundation's tax shelter. The working mom pays for your gas stove ban. The factory town pays for your Green New Deal. The girl on the swim team pays for your pronouns. The cop's widow pays for your bail reform.

It's a massive, evil, cost-transfer operation that pretends the evil they are pushing, is moral.

The U.S. military was the last redoubt the leftists needed to conquer to control our society.

They almost did it. Under Obama/Biden they turned the Pentagon into the Alamo. The DEI Marxists were swarming the walls, and a lot of them got inside the perimeter.

A LOT OF THEM.

But unlike the Alamo, this time reinforcements came in the nick of time.

The military was the last institution they needed to conquer to achieve total Marxist dominance over our entire nation.

THEY WERE SO CLOSE.

But then Pete Hegseth and his team came riding over the hill, defeated the attackers, and drove off the ones who got inside the walls.

The fact that they were so close to having it all, only to lose it all, is why we see so much wailing and gnashing of teeth today from the Pentagon “press.”

We should all try to set a recurring reminder that what happened to our military wasn’t some changing of the political winds from one party to the next.

It was, by textbook definition, an attempted Marxist takeover of the institution.

The DEI, wokeness, lawfare, etc.

These are not simple character quirks from an election switching power over. I mean, they look like it on the surface. But they’re not.

We’ve desensitized ourselves to it. Which is exactly their plan. But it should never be perceived as normal.

Why do you think I come unglued like a vegan atheist college student from Berkeley at a church BBQ when I see it?

When I see the “leaders” divide us and the media try to shame us into supporting it, yes, I come unglued.

And you should too.

The whole reason why we’re in this mess is because we let them run roughshod without consequence for too long.

My fellow brothers and sisters: You all swore an oath. It is your duty to BECOME that consequence in the face of what aims to destroy you and your countrymen.

But, that's what science is. The most simplistic yet correct explanation of a thing.
An epiphany while reading "A Canticle for Lebowitz".
"That's just it." He laughed. "The untrained man reads a paper on natural science and thinks, 'Now why couldn't he explain this in simple language.' He can't seem to realize that what he tried to read was the simplest possible language-for that subject matter. In fact, a great deal of natural philosophy is simply a process of linguistic simplification-an effort to invent languages in which half a page of equations can express an idea which could not be stated in less than a thousand pages of so-called 'simple' language."
Like my teaching colleagues, I constantly work to make what I teach "understandable". Often this has resulted in a simplification that while revealing a larger concept is in fact a lie. Simplification that wasn't simplification. It was corruption. And we had to go back and try again.
Why? Because we feel the pressure from students and, ahem, 'others' to make it simple. That's wrong. We should, as teachers, as professors have the goal of bringing the student to be able to understand the simplest correct explanation.
This is as simple as it gets. If the person is a simpleton, they shouldn't be wasting their time in school. If they are in school, they should be willing to do the work to learn the simple explanation.

I know a woman...
Who has the spiritual depth, knowledge, wisdom that she could lead a church.
Who has the skill and humility to pastor and shepherd.
Who knows the Word of God better than many men do.
And. Because of all that, rejects the notion that she is qualified to be a "pastor" or "shepherd" or "leader" in a church. Because she knows and has submitted herself to the Word of God.
She has sat with, touched, cared for those dying. Been present when they died and walked with their loved ones through the grief.
She has counseled individuals in all of life's situations with Biblical wisdom.
She has taught other women the truth from God's Word. And discipled them in obedience to it's clear truth.
She grieves over and hates that women have been deceived to think they can be Pastors or Elders or teachers in mixed gender settings.
She is my wife. Ask her. If you are brave enough.

Archaeologists discovered a massive dinosaur bone bed containing up to 10,000 dinosaur fossils.

But one bizarre detail left them puzzled.

Among all those bones, there were no baby or adolescent dinosaurs, only adults.

What could have caused entire herds of fully grown dinosaurs to flee in panic, separating from their young before being buried together in death?

The fossil record is filled with signs of sudden catastrophe:
