Dr. Angela Nambiro – Medical Officer Intern: Intern doctors face dangerous conditions, long hours, and no risk allowance, yet we get salary cuts while MPs and ministers enjoy raises. Mr. President, walk a 36-hour shift with us and see why we deserve better pay and treatment
#CitizenDayBreak @OBurrows
There is a looming #DoctorsStrikeKE as per a presser by the @kmpdu SG @Davji and this is due to MoH playing games on the issue of medical interns and doctors’ salaries. MoH is sneaking back the 70K per month. This is a NO! Bado Mapambano! I will stand with Doctors one more time!
So we went to court since @MOH_Kenya and @kmpdu could not agree on our pay.
The court has taken us for 4months only to refer us back to the discussion table for another 90days 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲
At this rate mtapata stress-induced cardiomyopathy 💀
@kmpdu leadership should be impeached for taking a chance on an inept regime and condemning all of us to labour uncertainties and exploitation!
"WITHIN 24 Hrs"
What's the way forward @Davji we can't watch jr doctors commit suicide as a rogue @MOH_Kenya mistreats interns @KMPDU should have immediately called for a strike to force a RTWF on
1. Immediate payment of interns
2. Immediate employment of Dr's
3. SHA/SHIF
These medical interns are the future of healthcare. The frustration they're going through is heavy. Save them this cup of anguish.
Pay up medical interns. It's their right. They earned it.

Very sad but it's now like this in all referral hospitals. The facilities are overstretched. Medical interns who are often first on call are not posted. Teaching hospitals like KNH don't employ medical officers and don't pay residents who now only work day shifts after the recent strike.
Nursing is understaffed with 1 nurse per 70 patients against WHO recommended 1 to 4 ratio. The nurses are helpless and left alone to supervise death. They'd rather move abroad to where their services are valued.
The system is broken.
Hello guys. This is a sensitive matter I’m addressing with KNH. AbdiKhadhir’s death today took a toll on me and his ward mates who literally saw him succumb to his death with no help or urgent response from the hospital. First things first, @KNH_hospital blocked me from entering the hospital and wards today. I gave up and they took me to the marketing and PR department where they allowed me but with the mandatory escort of their officers. They told me I wasn’t allowed to record anything as well and I agreed.
They escorted me to the wards and his ward mates, who are actually gun shot patients as well were listening to Borana songs when I walked in, in remembrance of AbdiKhadir🥹🥹
Now, everyone is saying how underwhelming the response from the doctors and nurses was when Khadir suddenly developed breathing difficulty.
All the patients in the wards can’t walk and the only one who could ran out to call the doctors and he was shooed away. NO SENSE OF URGENCY AT ALL!!!!!!! I’m sick and tired of this hospital.
One Denis, who was shot on the leg has been neglected , his leg has rotten away and now he’s supposed to be amputed💔💔
I told everyone who was there that I’m waiting for their response tomorrow as they discuss their transfer to a private hospital. I’m so broken. Please find the videos of the discussions as well.
Unverified letter purportedly calling for a meeting to plan for another meeting on posting of Medical Interns... Too many meetings.
Our demand is simple. Post all and pay as per CBA2017

@NdindiNyoro Buana are you mad?
You are saying you are African and Africa is your business then you go parading your short stature in America's affairs.
Repeat after me: You are Kiharuin and Kiharu constituency should be your business!
@NdindiNyoro Do you have anything to say about the Kenyans who have been murdered since the protests began, or you're an American and America is your business?
Tomorrow we’ll be paying a visit to @muthonikenya to remind her that Medical interns are supposed to be in the hospitals not manning the gate of MOH.
