Disturbing incident in Outremont, Montreal: video shows an individual repeatedly attempting to snatch shtreimels, the fur hats worn by Hasidic Jewish men on Shabbat, before reportedly making off with two before fleeing.
Not an isolated case. Outremontâs Hasidic community is often the victim of physical intimidation and violence.
Everyone deserves to feel safe in the city. Time to act.

Another Montreal synagogue, Temple Emanu-El-Beth Sholom, hit by an attempted arson last night.

Proud to watch it take shape.
To every Jewish family sitting down at the seder table this week â Chag Sameach!
