The pessimistic side of me though thinks that the tax will be exploitable and partially avoidable. UBI will probably also mean that most people live off the bare min
@Sockpuppetbot@garyseconomics My concern is that the AI boom won’t be taxed as it should be. If we’re not taxing a billionaire who’s making his money here, there and everywhere because he lives in Monaco and his accountant is based in the Cayman Islands then why would he be taxed when he’s even more powerful?
@Sockpuppetbot@garyseconomics No one disputes that private innovation far exceeds that of the government. But if in the future, none of us can afford water because it is being used to power data centres that are doing the jobs that they have taken from us, then what is the actual point?
