• Dr Lola Salem, 33, a music lecturer at Oriel College, has been charged with possessing indecent images of children dating from May 2021 to February 2023.

• The allegations involve four images, three classified as Category B and one as Category C.

• Salem was suspended by Oriel College after it became aware of the charges in June.

• Salem has pleaded NOT GUILTY and remains on bail ahead of an expected trial at Oxford Crown Court next year.
