@LaCuochina@allthefood_ It has nothing to do with Cultural Appropriation. It has to do with a misspelling of a dish, an honest mistake which I take full responsibility for. There is a fine line between culinary appropriation and appreciation and if you knew my food you’d know it falls into the latter
@LaCuochina@allthefood_ I certainly had no intention of insulting anyone! It’s a simple typo on the menu which will be rectified. Since I’m an Irish chef, cooking in a restaurant in Dublin, Ireland I was under the assumption that maybe the food would be automatically taken as ‘inspired’ by default?
This week's critic reviews, with the first (two) verdicts on Kitchen 85 (from the team behind M&L), Lucinda reviews the same restaurant for the second time in 10 months, and Tom has to let the cat out of the bag about a culinary force in south Dublin... https://t.co/L4Kmv5ugtw
This week’s review: chef Tom Oldroyd’s pub the Duke if Richmknd, in Hackney. Just a neighbourhood boozer in the way Piers Morgan is just a little bit irritating. They serve a crab chip butty https://t.co/m0Krx1GXDy
Cheers to @Chefchrisking for looking after us in @Wigmore_London yesterday. Possibly the best pie I’ve had in a long time and the crab & crumpets.... Just f&£king go there
