@ExtremeFootbal4 LFC fans behaved impeccably at the 1984 European cup final, then got battered by Roma fans & Rome police on their way home. Many then (wrongly) went back looking for revenge the next year & a substandard stadium and awful policing did the rest. Unfair to Everton yes, but context.

@LFCHistoryShow A friend of my dad who sits in front of him in the Kop says this was the best game / most fun he ever had following us. Despite the subsequent decades of glory and trophies. I showed him this Pathé footage and he was over the moon. Couldn’t believe that it existed.
