Thank you, de verdad, a Placido Salazar y El Gallo Ramiro Mendez for the opportunity to address my platform on your show “La Voz del Puedo”. We had a great time discussing the issue of importance for nuestra gente.… https://t.co/jg7QCYQ6vx
.@ICEgov must be held responsible for the death of Jean Carlos Jimenez-Joseph. Staff ignored numerous pleas for help, refused to provide medical treatment, and even held him in isolation for weeks. How many more will die because of ICE’s callous disregard to those in their care?
El Paso. Dayton. Now Philadelphia. Too many devastating tragedies caused by inaction to address gun violence in our communities. My heart goes out to the brave police officers and their families. Enough is enough.
@PatrickSvitek@GovAbbott The terrorist talked about killing Hispanics and political ideology. Does @GovAbbott recommend mental health for Muslim terrorists? No he does not. He favors the travel bans and fences. The Governor is a racist and protects white terrorists who kill other Americans/Texans.
I'm from Texas. Here are some of our gun laws:
-- NO state permit required to purchase
-- NO firearm registration
-- NO owner license required
-- NO assault weapon law
-- NO magazine capacity restriction
-- NO background check required for private sales

On Nelson Mandela International Day, we must keep striving to emulate his example. Proud to cosponsor H.Res.501 honoring this man’s indelible legacy.
As Democrats, we believe we should be making it easier, not harder, for more Americans to have their voices heard on Election Day. That’s why we will never stop fighting to protect the one right that protects all others: the right to vote.

It is important to note that many of these children speak indigenous languages. Some I met were budding trilingual (speak K’iche’, Spanish & learning English).
We are caging indigenous people.
(HHS shelters, if kids can get to them, have translation lines they call to help.)
This moment captures what it’s like for women in CBP custody to share a cramped cell—some held for 50 days—for them to be denied showers for up to 15 days and life-saving medication. For some, it also means being separated from their children. This is El Paso Border Station #1.
And to these CBP officers saying they felt “threatened” by me -
They were literally discussing making a GoFundMe for an officer who attacked my on my tour.
They confiscated my phone, and they were all armed. I’m 5’4”.
They’re just upset I exposed their inhumane behavior.
