In a week where there have been serious allegations about the treatment of female footballers by FAI coaches - questions now need to be asked of the FAI and Hallgrímsson.

It is beyond any suggestion of credibility to suggest that the Board of the FAI would have been unaware of any of these incidents - and the FAI now need to address how they came to appoint a manager who acted as an apologist for a football player accused of r*pe.
