A winters walk under stunning blue skies the perfect way to get match ready. Large flocks of lapwing, godwits and curlews feeding on the hay meadows and cattle egrets feeding amongst the cows along side the entrance track. All rounded off with some yummy treats in the cafe
A beautiful silvery sunrise, with the skies full of birds and a glorious fiery sunset on this beautiful winters day of clear light and surprisingly warm sunshine. @SwaleWeather@VisitKent@ElmleyNNR

Elmley is a traditional winter roost for long eared owls but this summer a family of LEO’s made their home in willows behind the pond by the carpark. Much to the joy of staff & visitors they gave exceptional views until the leaves dropped & they moved into deeper cover.
Stroll along the canal on the Isle of Sheppey for a nice sunset view, been a lovely day and turned out to be on the warm side, very surprised with the temperature for this time of year with a high of 22C.
