A MOTHER’S CRY: The bail application of northern-based medical doctor Fillemon “Fly” Nakanduungile is expected to commence shortly at the Ondangwa Magistrate’s Court, following a postponement on Monday after all available magistrates initially recused themselves from the case.

Nakanduungile is among six suspects arrested in connection with the October shooting of Ondangwa-based prosecutor Justine Shiweda, who was also doused with a highly toxic acidic substance during the attack. Shiweda remains in critical condition in hospital and has undergone more than four surgical procedures.

Shiweda’s deeply-emotional mother, Rosalia Kleopas-Mushimba, appeared at court to submit a petition opposing Nakanduungile’s release on bail. She was accompanied by Shiweda’s sister and other family members.

Addressing members of the public outside the court, Kleopas-Mushimba said her daughter is still fighting for her life, adding that granting bail to Nakanduungile would amount to “killing her through the law.”

Nakanduungile was arrested in November in connection with the 17 October shooting and acid attack on Shiweda, a control and regional court prosecutor for the Ondangwa district. He faces charges of attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Key elements include a crown and cape inspired by the quiver tree, representing endurance; a beaded necklace made of ostrich shells and traditional beads in vibrant colours, symbolising cultural harmony; and a corset featuring Khoisan beadwork, honouring femininity and heritage.

The skirt draws inspiration from Zambezi and Nama traditional attire, with colours evoking Namibia’s landscapes. Accessories like the Ondjeva and anklets reflect purity, industriousness, and well-being, embodying the spirit of Namibian women.

@Peya_Junior True,& I think we also need to go back to the definition of internship, that’s normally meant for students(mostly with pocket money). But b/c high unemployment of graduates (mostly without pocket money) are most that end up taking these internships thus the amount would look less

Some careers/professions requires 2 years internship that are mandatory before you can register and be fully fledged professional of that particular field. E.g doctors.
