@HubertVan You are working with agencies that much is clear. If agency agendas are not consistent with those of individuals with disabilities what then Minister?
"21% of disabled ppl live in poverty. While federal and provincial benefit programs do help, they’re often not enough for those with chronic illnesses and disabilities."

@CPHO_Canada Seriously? Highest death count of any yr of the pandemic & my disabled kid still can’t go to school because her teachers & classmates aren’t obliged to - and thus won’t - wear masks. Consider 2022 through the lens of the vulnerable and disabled, please. It’s been awful.
I did a thing. I agreed to go visit a freedom convoy group having a bbq. I went with as open a heart as I could. My friend said "come see, we are nice people". Well curiosity killed the cat and I will never go back. It started ok.
A policy reminder that failing on housing as a human right is awfully cruel/expensive.
a month in provincial jail costs: $9,400
a standard hospital stay: $15,500
a month in shelter: $6,600
social housing: $2,500
housing for all is a matter of social justice/sound economics.
So let me get this straight: Ontario's healthcare system is collapsing. Working conditions are so bad that health workers are already quitting en masse. And now...the Ontario government is looking to CUT costs...in healthcare staffing?
How does this make any sense?
@AmitAryaMD It doesn't make any sense. He is failing in his duty to serve and protect the people of Ontario. A child with pneumonia waited 40 hours in an ER. HCW are exhausted, traumatized and burned out. What kind of person responds with this action?
Effective immediately, in alignment with Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health’s guidance, York is calling on the community to resume masking in all indoor settings. We will continue to monitor public health guidelines: https://t.co/VijLl36iac | #YUBetterTogether
COVID-related hospitalizations in Ontario over the last year👇
This is still an issue as it continues to disproportionately impact older/vulnerable populations.
Now COVID, Flu & RSV are putting pressure on an already stretched healthcare system.
Vaccines & masking can help.
