Im happy for villa and palace winning European trophies, but it doesn't half make me sick at the same time. Our drought for any silverware has to end at some point, surely!? im fucking begging
I’ll tell you who let him down today, his own fucking shithouse so called team mates. Also the club didn’t tell us a single thing. Why couldn’t this have been done before KO and have been presented with something like Trippier today by Newcastle???
Moyes has took stick for failing to pick points up post the chelsea game, which was always gonna happen he's the manager
But fuck me them players have let us down far more dropping points from winning positions. Weak defending, blowing chances. 8pts gone in 4 games. Shithouses!
Some horrific individual performances out there today. When anything is in our own hands we find a way to fuck it up it shouldn't even come as a surprise anymore.
🗣️“I just gave them tomorrow off. We had a bad experience after the first leg - we trained the next day, and they weren't sharp. Maybe this will help when they are out somewhere in London….I said to the players that we won't wave the white flag against Everton but I think it's important they enjoy themselves, rest, and we will meet on Saturday” - Oliver Glasner
🚨 Igor Tudor: “The boat is going in the direction I need it to go. Who is in the boat can stay, the others can leave the boat”.
“It sounds strange but I believe more after this game than I did before. I saw something”.
🔵🚨 Idrissa Gana Gueye: "When I was at PSG, I asked Messi and Mbappé to watch Everton matches with me."
"Mbappé used to come, he enjoyed watching them... But Messi wasn't into it."
"Messi always used to tell me: 'Brother, your team always loses!"
The ‘Moyes Out’ shouts of late have been ridiculous.

For some reason, many impatient blues on here seem to think we were going to go from a team struggling to stay up for several years to challenging for trophies this season!?
Our average position in the last 5 years will be about 15th/16th. You don’t suddenly go from that to suddenly winning things after 1 summer transfer window.
To get into a position of regularly challenging for trophies you need to consistently finish in Europe first (Which is what Moyes has proved he can do at both Everton & West Ham) which attracts better players and build from there.. and maybe down the line a higher profile manager to take us to the next level but we’re not there yet, far from it.
Look at West Ham, they got a new stadium, were edging up the league with Moyes but tried to run before they could walk, thought they were above him and are now likely going to pay the ultimate price for sacking him after he won them a trophy.
You see what’s going on at Notts Forest, West Ham and Spurs, any three of them could go and you realise the value of calm leadership with a plan. Everton have gone through the chaos riding the manager merry-go-round for years but Moyes brings the stability needed to rebuild.
“But what if we got a flash manager in who played great football all of a sudden and we were going gung-ho attacking teams and we started winning games that way?” It’s just too big a jump to try and start playing sexy football all of a sudden, there might be a manager who could have relative success for a short period doing but that isn’t sustainable long term - we all remember Roberto Martinez.
Also the style of the league is changing, managers who play “great football” such as Pep are finding it increasingly difficult the last few years. The belief Moyes is somehow a dinosaur who is too cautious just isn’t case he’s won more away games than any other manager since his return. Look at Arsenal, probably going to win league by being defensively solid & relying heavily on set pieces. We can moan about home form, team selections & tactics but at the end of the day we’re questioning the current most experienced PL manager. Whilst team selections in isolation can be questionable, he’s the one seeing them in training everyday & knowing their fitness/injuries etc and it’s easy to forget the massive progress that has been made in the last year.
These fans who think this way and say things like “Look at Crystal Palace? They’ve just won a trophy and we haven’t”. We all want to win trophies, it would be great to have an easy cup run and turn over 1 big team at Wembley, I’d literally do anything for it but if we did that it’s not job done. That’s not the aim, the aim is to improve the team to the point where we have a chance of getting to Wembley every season & regularly competing at the top of the table, that’s why we got the new stadium and everything that comes with it to deliver a long term success at Everton.
Being happy about the prospect of a top 10 or a top 8 finish this season isn’t “accepting mediocrity” it’s understanding that it’s organic, gradual, sustainable, progress in the right direction leading to Everton being back on top again.
Moyes is the perfect manager for right now, to take us from worrying about what 3 clubs we can finish above to thinking what clubs do we need to finish above to get Everton back in Europe. This is progression and absolutely no one would have said Everton would be in for a chance of Europe this season with 9 games to go back in January 2024.
Now dust off your passports and get behind this team and manager because they’re going to need us for the run in.
