Meet @JaspreetkBansal and @J_W_Lewis, joint winners of this year's ECR writing competition at #BSRA2024. Should we publish their essays on our website? Let us know below!
Thanks to the @BBSRC for sponsoring
Last week I had the great opportunity to present my data at the @UkAgeing
and @BSRAgeing meetings where there was some great talks on ageing and senescence.
I also received joint 1st for the @BBSRC ECR Writing competition.

Beyond delighted to share our latest work from @theglasgowcemi@DalbyMatthew@ManuelMime, published yesterday in @NatureComms. Here we bioengineer a model of the bone marrow niche microenvironment that can maintain long-term HSCs 🦴🩸

Give it up for the @RossLabGroup group, coming in at #3 in our Top Posts Countdown! 🥳 They reported on how nanotopography can control the immunomodulatory capacity of MSCs. Give their paper a read if you haven't already! 👓

I'm grateful for the opportunity to present my data for the first time at the @BSRAgeing. The conference was so insightful and well organised. Thank you also to the UKRI MRC National Musculoskeletal ageing network for funding my travel to attend. @MIBTP1 @AstonUniversity
1/ Upscaling #MesenchymalStromalCell (#MSCs) cultures for therapy.
The current annual incidence of #autoimmune conditions is increasing by a rate of 3- 9% worldwide, with ~4 million of the UK population afflicted.
These are highlighted by the loss of immune cell #tolerance.
MIBTP Student, @JaspreetkBansal, has published an article in the journal, Nature Communications.
Titled as 'Nanotopography reveals metabolites that maintain the immunomodulatory phenotype of mesenchymal stromal cells'

An exciting study 💡 led by Dr. Matthew Dalby (@DalbyMatthew) and colleagues @RossLabGroup 👨🔬👩🔬 demonstrate an effective route to support large-scale expansion of functional #MSCs for therapeutic purposes.

Congrats @RossLabGroup - this great paper in
@NatureComms demonstrates (1) that nanotopography can maintain immunomodulatory MSC phenotype and (2) identify activity metabolites to be identified allowing large scale culture.

Congratulations to our PhD student @AnneliseGar for passing her qualifying report viva which allows her to formally progress to 2nd year of her PhD. Had a great time celebrating with @RossLabGroup!
