The last couple of days at Mastodon have been refreshingly pleasant compared with the mostly doomscrolling I’ve done here for the last few years. Interesting, witty, kind, and brilliant folks. Not that those folks aren’t here too, but they get lost in the ads, promos, and noise.

I hear plenty about Twitter’s new CEO without following him. So I unfollowed him. It took two tries hitting the unfollow button for it to take. (As in: twice I had to hit the Following button, then the Unfollow link, which made the link go away.) Anyone else have this experience?

@doc_b_right at #AMIA2022: The AMIA DEI task force was created in 2021 after the 2021 Informatics Summit session generated a negative member experience when the precision principle was not applied. That member generated a response in the organization to make change.
